CTVET Releases Provisional Results of the 2022 Certificate II Core and Elective Components Examinations

The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) in Ghana has announced the release of the provisional results of the 2021 Certificate II Core, Elective Components, Access Course, Technician, Advanced and Diploma Examinations. These examinations were formerly conducted by the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX) and the Technical Examinations Unit (TEU) before they were merged under the Commission for TVET pursuant to the transitional provision of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act (ERBA) 1023 of 2020.

The Certificate II Examination is an important assessment for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students in Ghana, and consists of two parts, the Core and the Elective components. The Core component includes English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and Entrepreneurship, while the Elective Component comprises the trade/professional area programmes.

A total number of 28,834 candidates (73% males and 27% females) from 175 Public and Private Technical Institutes took the examination at 120 centres throughout the country. Candidates can access their results online at the MayJune Portal using their index numbers and Unique Reference Numbers provided by their respective institutions. Access program candidates should contact their respective Technical Universities for their results.

However, CTVET has withheld the results of 160 candidates from some schools due to examination irregularities. This decision was made after a thorough investigation to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
